Zaman Anwar Makes Pakistan Proud at CWG22 Wrestling Event

He lost to Canada’s Amarveer Dhesi in the freestyle 125 kg final.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Zaman says he is disappointed not to have won gold at the World Taekwondo Championships. Zaman lost his final match against an Olympian, but thanked God for allowing him the chance to compete in the finals. The 21-year-old said international-style training would have been preferable over local-style.

Pakistan’s Nooh Dastagir Butt has won a Silver medal in the Men’s Freestyle 86 kg wrestling category at the Rio Olympics. It is Pakistan’s second Silver medal of the Games after another wrestler, Inam Butt, won a Bronze in the same category.

Arshad Nadeem and Jamshed Ali have qualified directly for the final in their respective categories. Both athletes have a good chance of winning gold medals at this year’s event.
